Today, most teams and technical professionals have some level of experience with agile ways of working. However, their understanding is often superficial of why the methods are effective and how to get the best results for their efforts. If we think of a sports team, there are improvements that happen in practice and the locker room before playing a game and then the game itself against another team. Both are essential, and each is its own context where improvement efforts look different.
